Spec II course

Yes i've not been blogging regularly.. Every weekend, i've been relying of a regular dose of Gundam Seed Destiny or just surfing the Net to keep me occupied. Not that i don't have better stuff to do... Procrastination or simply escapism i guess...

Just had Medical Theory and Prac Tests this week... Preceding the tests was a 3-day long weekend. Logically, if i had spent my time well, i'd have done my preparation much better than that for my Trauma Tests. Well, in the end i ended studying last-minute on Monday evening for just about 1 hour! Gosh sometimes i just can't believe how, at that point in time, did i rationalise wastage of time? After booking in, i had to adapt quickly to studying in the presence of some people who were all to willing to show their superiority and not at all helpful..Worst of all, the tips given my course commander turned out to be completely irrelevant for the Tests! Luckily, somehow i passed the tests... Perhaps some consistent studying in camp previously had helped to compensate for my poor usage of time..

A noteworthy mention was the person who topped the Tests. He was someone who had only completed 'O" levels and dropped out of ITE, a modest educational background, or even an inferior one in the eyes of some. Yet, he has awakened his senses now, probably after meeting a wonderful lady, who is now his wife. After signing on for the Army, he's clinched the "Best Trainee" for many courses which he participated in. He told me that if he did the same for Spec II, he would try to get a bursary from the Army to study in NYP Nursing... In contrast, many trainees who failed the tests were of 'A' Levels education background, and some could be said to be complacent like me This just goes to show that attitude is very important for one to be successful.
