A lot have happened since i last blogged.. Not that i can remember a lot.

There hasn't been any progress on my driving; I'm still stuck at the orientation stage, while 3 others have already passed the assessment and have started clocking mileage. Not that they are at fault, just my luck. I guess in the worst case scenario, I should simply spend slightly more than a thousand bucks to get my civilian license. Nothing is free in this world. I can be patient and persistent in clocking my mileage in the military. But in the event that I cannot reach the 7000km mark, then money would be the way out. I'll be spending less money too, so it's really not too bad, am I right?

National Day had just passed. This had always been designated a milestone for being our first ops. But now it's over! More lies ahead in my NS journey ahead, which means that I'm nearing the end of my tour of service. Ironically, just when I'm counting down the days to ORD, next Wednesday will only be my first day as the Med Sup Spec. Although I'm excited of life after NS, I feel a sense of belonging to my environment in the SAF presently, the people, the equipment which had protected me, the bunks and vehicles. Thus far, I've always dreaded my days in Tekong, because of the way recruits were looked down upon and every corner of the place looks threatening. Now that I'm at my unit, danger still lurks around, but at least people around me are definitely more dependable. The human factor is always important. Conversion course here is inevitably tough initially, but the sense of comradie is strong, considering that eventually the internal instructors and us are all in the same unit.
