What have i been up to?

Xmas is approaching and this can only mean that 2005 is coming to an end very soon. Unusually fast! You mean the Asian tsunami disaster has reached its first anniversary? I can't believe it!

Time is racing ahead of me. Piled on my table are six copies of Newsweek, which means that somehow I've not been reading them for 1.5 months. There's always so many things that i wanna do on weekends. This is the umpteenth time i've been making this same comment, though i'm just 5.5 mths away from ORD. No point ranting off the stuff i wanna do again ya?

I took 3 days' leave! A much-needed rest, away from M*F. Even though the program in camp was not tough, I really wanted to have a break from that environment after some hectic months. Furthurmore, there may not even be any year-end off this year. Rather than wait for some saviour to bestow off on us, I might as well apply for leave myself instead of depending on others..And the leave was memorable, more so since i fell off my bicycle for the first time =(

Was attempting to re-enter the pedestrian walkway from the road. The pedestrain walkway was a mere 5 cm higher than the road. Yet when my front wheel got close to the walkway, the movement of my bicycle was still very much forward, rather than banking more to the side. Somehow, when the front wheel touched the edge of the walkway, it glided past the edge, instead of climbing it. Then inertia set in, and my bicycle flipped to my left.

Using my left knee to halt the slide forward, the whole bicycle landed on my left tib/fib. Luckily, i did not fell to my right into the traffic flow. Phew. Resulting damages: Abrasions to left patella, feet; muscle strain to right shin.

My bicycle is fine lest some sand stuck in the chains. First accident since October. The usual rantings from parents of course. Haiz.......Anyway some bruises, as long as minor ones, can be tolerated. They only make you stronger in life =)

The bridge out of the east gate of the castle is slowly being lowered. Very slowly. In fact, it would take months. The next castle awaits, though yet to be firmly chosen. A choice has to be made soon. In the meantime, the Chosen One remains elusive, yet one remains hopeful not forlorn. If all were to come to naught, then that was what was meant to be all along. May the lucky stars come to shine and manifest as guiding lights in the expedition that lays ahead....
