Criss-crossing
Work is hard to find nowadays. Plenty of sales / roadshow promoters' vacancies, but I'm looking for an admin job. In the meantime, I've been enjoying that little bit of freedom, something that seems to be almost obscene to enjoy nowadays.
Earlier in the month, I was invited to attend a SMU admissions interview. Honestly, the professor was not asking difficult questions, but I guess I was the one who did not have the answers well thought out. Listening to a confused soul speak sometimes just makes the listening one confused as well. Regardless of how I felt about my performance at the interview, one week later I was offered a place in the SMU double degree programme.
Then came the LKC scholarship interview. Yes, it is difficult to get this scholarship, but I have already decided that even if I were to be offered one, I am not likely to accept it. Considering that the terms of the scholarship requires me to complete two degrees at the end of four years, I thought that, in the event that I were to give up studying for two degrees, then I would be forced to terminate my scholarship. This is a scenario that I would like to avoid.
Anyway, at the scholarship interview, within my group of 5, two were from VJ, one from TJ and DHS, and one from Temasek Polytechnic. One of the Victorians was from DHS too! And guess what? My groupmate from TJ was a former dropout from DHSCO! What a small world indeed. Hopefully, by the time school starts, I'll meet more of this kind of friendly, cheerful and helpful souls.
Before university life starts, I'm trying to condition myself to concentrate when studying. So spending a little time to read is the order of the day. Exercising is something else I'm trying hard to get started on in my daily/weekly routine. I'm all for a healthier lifestyle!
Meanwhile, my forgotten drivers have reportedly reached a significant milestone in their quest for a driving license. They are just short of 1000 km . Slightly more than one week's effort and they should be done! In the meantime, hopefully I could have settled my search for a temp job.
