Offering tips for test? Sure, that got her interested. But sadly, beyond that, back to square one again. "Sorry, I'm busy with work, have this report to write," The latest, and the worst, came in this form, " Sorry, I'm talking to my friend," On MSN, oh my goodness. One on the Net, the other on the phone, and I came off worse. *Stare in disbelief*
While licking my wounds, here's my intelligence report.
1) She is not disgusted with you, yet.
Reason: The way she chatted, during the only call she made, convinced me that she is willing to share, as and when she feels comfortable, bits of her daily life stories with me.
But that was like a one-off. Why does my calls end so quickly, dismissed, waved away, so casually, every single time?
2) A new approach is definitely needed.
Reason: The current strategy has reached a dead-end. I cannot depend on the random occasions whereby I happen to get tips for her tests. I'm very grateful that it happened for me previously, but it was more of a random bonus event. The kind that I'm thankful for, but cannot rely on to happen everytime. At least I feel like I'm on square one instead of square zero, but the problem is, I don't see square two.
Another problem is, exams are coming, and I'll be away for the hols too... Hmmm.... Very tricky situation. If only she knows...
